about

Leading up to Valentine's day during Stolie's first season performing in Puerto Vallarta, the owner of her home-base bar, Que?Pasa, declared that the perfect man doesn't exist. "If he did, he would be made of chocolate and filled with tequila." In "Poor Boys (Tequila Lips)," Stolie reflects on the poor qualities of the wrong men she continues to select while pining for the perfect man.

lyrics

I like poor boys who don’t wanna work too hard
They got holes in their pockets, in their stories and in their front yards
I like poor boys who work in kitchens and clubs
He’ll have his own business some day when he saves up enough

Where’s the perfect guy
They say he don’t exist
If he did he’s made of chocolate with tequila lips
The perfect guy, just imagine that
Perhaps a poor boy is the richest thing that I’ll never have

I like poor boys who get stoned all day long
They play their guitars and their video games while I’m wearing a thong
I like poor boys who ask to borrow my cash
And I’m the sucker who gives it, and takes it right up the ass

Where’s the perfect guy
They say he don’t exist
If he did he’s made of chocolate with tequila lips
The perfect guy, just imagine that
Perhaps a poor boy is the richest thing that I’ll never have

Where’s the perfect guy
They say he don’t exist
If he did he’s made of chocolate with tequila lips
The perfect guy, just imagine that
Perhaps a poor boy is the richest thing…

Maybe the perfect guy
He’s not rich at all
And he’s dreaming of a perfect life with a Barbie Doll
The perfect guy, just imagine that
Perhaps a poor boy is the richest thing that I’ll ever have

Hey bartender, just put the next round on my tab, thanks.
